Voice journal to text
Journal by talking — two minutes a day, read back whenever you need it.
How do you keep a voice journal?
A voice journal app lets you journal by talking: spend two minutes on what happened, how it felt and what you want to remember. Try it with the microphone above — the first 2 minutes of any entry are free here. Longer entries and a daily habit live in Kalpa on iPhone and Apple Watch.
Short ones here, long ones in Kalpa
How to start a voice journal
Pick a moment
After work, on a walk, before bed.
Talk for two minutes
What happened, what you felt, what you learned.
Read it back
Text in seconds.
Make it a habit
Kalpa keeps every entry, privately.
A journal you keep just by talking
Two minutes at the end of the day is enough. Kalpa keeps each spoken entry as text on your iPhone, so you can read back how a week or a month really went.

Questions and answers
Is my voice journal private?
On the web, your journal audio is deleted right after the transcript is made, the text is kept for 24 hours so the same recording isn’t processed twice and then deleted, and Kalpa does not use it to train models. In Kalpa, your own recordings are transcribed on your iPhone.
Is the voice journal free?
The first 2 minutes of any journal entry are free here, and the Kalpa app is free to start.
Can I search old journal entries?
Kalpa keeps every journal entry as text, so you can search old entries — or ask “when did I last feel this stressed?”
Can I journal in my own language?
You can keep a voice journal in any of 25 languages, including Polish, Croatian and Ukrainian, detected automatically.
